The factories from whom we purchase are substantial suppliers to Original Equipment Manufacturers and are fully conversant with ISO 9000 standards. Using advanced manufacturing technology and sophisticated control processes, these suppliers maintain a commitment to quality that matches that of UCF. UCF America Inc. has a staff of quality control engineers and technicians both in our Pennsauken location and overseas. These experienced individuals visit our suppliers' facilities regularly and perform quality control audits. They identify the critical characteristics of each product and help suppliers design more efficient operations and improved processes. Our focus is on prevention rather than detection. At our facilities we sample test all incoming materials for dimensional integrity, hardness and fatigue life. The diversity of the products we sell; leaf springs, castings, forgings, rubber parts and engineered products, all require different quality control processes and we maintain professional engineers with expertise in each field and provide them with the necessary tools and equipment. Independent laboratories are utilized to perform certain tests such as metallurgical analysis for which we do not have in-house capabilities. We obtain certification from steel mills and other suppliers to verify the chemical and mechanical properties of products we purchase and to provide traceability of material. By working closely with our suppliers, we are able to maintain the high quality our customers have come to expect from UCF America Inc.
